7. "Go It Alone"
During the recording of Guero, Beck reportedly recorded a few songs with Jack White, but “Go it Alone” was the only one to make it on the album. That fat, rubbery bassline? That’s Jack. On top of that, add a couple finger snap/hand clap combos over the drums and a vocals that melt into their surroundings, and you’ve got “Go It Alone.” It’s proof that when you’ve got a couple really strong elements, you don’t need much else.
