Tobias Jesso Jr. - "True Love"

Tobias Jesso Jr. sings like he's already got a lifetime's worth of wisdom. Maybe it's just that slightly wobbly piano, or Tobias' shaky voice, or the classic songwriting that makes this sound like it's from another decade, but it all gives "True Love" more weight. While so many other modern sad songs come across as a tantrum or a knee-jerk reaction, this song feels like a thoughtful reflection. Lyrically, it's almost heartwarming, but its tone is almost overwhelmingly heartbreaking.
