Jay Electronica can still spit.
We knew this was coming, but still, with the elusive Jay Electronica, you never know what's actually happening until it happens. Jay joins Chance on "How Great" and delivers a beast of a verse, touching on the music industry ("I spit on the Tidal of tidal waves / I spit on the Apple and kill a worm"), Lion King references ("I was lost in the jungle like Simba after the death of Mufasa / No hog, no meerkat, hakuna matata by day"), religion ("They poisoned the scripture and gave us the pictures of false messiahs / It was all a lie"), and more. He also hints at a Jay Electronica resurgence, something that fans have been waiting on for a long time now ("This is the year that I come for the crown.")
After Chance The Rapper's Coloring Book mixtape dropped, Jay took to Twitter to let fans know that there's more music from the duo on the way, but he has since deleted all but two of his tweets. So for now, it's back to waiting, but "How Great" is a positive sign that Jay Electronica hasn't lost a step.
