More than a decade has passed since The Walkmen released their debut album Everyone Who Pretended to Like Me is Gone in March of 2002. A lot has changed in the world of music since the group began recording, but that doesn’t seem to have had any negative impact on the quality or pace of releases the New York quintet has managed to produce over the last 10 years. June 5th will usher in Heaven, the band’s seventh studio album and one that fans are hoping will be their best to date.

Today the band’s label, Fat Possum Recordings, began promoting a radio edit stream of their new lead single aptly titled “Heaven”. It’s a catchy, driving anthem in which front man Hamilton Leithauser calls for us to, “remember all we fight for.” Have a listen below.
