Underground rap legend El-P has delivered a solo resurgence after five years, in one week. First, he executively produced Killer Mike’s latest opus, RAP Music, which, by all accounts, is a force to be reckoned with. Now, we get to hear his newest solo album, Cancer for Cure.

Get excited, El-P is the source of some of the most progressive hip-hop in the past 20 years, and it looks like he’s in something of a creative renaissance right now, and determined to turn out some great albums. C4C is all I’m going to be listening for a while if it can keep pace after album opener “Request Denied.” Hear the whole album, courtesy of a Rolling Stone stream.
