For their new album, Brooklyn’s Prince Rama (sisters Taraka and Nimai Larson) are channeling 10 fictional bands. The project will be called Top 10 Hits of the End of the World. That alone should be a glaring clue, this is some odd stuff.

Um, how to describe this… imagine that one of those pre-set songs is playing on an old Casio—one of those pre-sets that allows you to change the chord progression but nothing else. On top of that you have vocal whispers and an echoey, irresistible chorus that is as catchy as it is under-polished. The whole song feels like ’80s karaoke gone weird, but by the end of it you’ll be completely hypnotized.
