2012 marks 15 years since The Prodigy released The Fat of the Land, the album that not only catapulted them into the stratosphere as a group, but also helped the rise of the “electronica” craze during the late 90s. For the special reissue, they assembled a group of producers to remix a number of their hits, including Baauer, Zeds Dead, Alvin Risk, Noisia and Major Lazer. We already heard Noisia’s take on “Smack My Bitch Up,” and today Major Lazer’s has gone up for previewing.

The great part about both of these remixes is they stay true to the original while still maintaining the core of what makes these artists who they are. Major Lazer comes with a Trap-infused version, taking that grinding melody and bringing the 808s out to play. Listen below, and if you’re feeling this, you can pre-order the reissue before it’s December 4th release.
