Big Boi‘s Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors (out December 11th) will feature “Mama Told Me,” but it won’t be this version with Little Dragon. Instead, Kelly Rowland will be handling vocals. For those of us who aren’t happy with the switch, Big Boi shared the original version with the Swedish indie-poppers in place. Here are all the details from the press release:

The Flush-produced “Mama Told Me” first made a splash this summer when OutKast’s Big Boi performed the song live with Little Dragon in Austin. However, a later leak featured Destiny Child’s Kelly Rowland on the hook and bridge instead of the Swedish pop darlings—leaving everyone to wonder what the heck happened. Citing “business terms out of our control,” the ’80s funk ditty on Big Boi’s album will feature Rowland when his Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors drops on Tuesday, but it’s Little Dragon who will perform with him on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight. Good to see business not getting in the way of friendship and even better to hear the Little Dragon version, which was released by Big Boi today.
