HAIM had one of the best albums of 2013 with Days Are Gone, a sublime new chapter in the book of sister-music. The album is packed with energetic, earnest pop grounded in Americana rock, Fleetwood Mac and The Pretenders mixed together with a healthy splash of bass face.
Giorgio Moroder, all 73 years of him, joined the ranks of the HAIM faithful and took a stab at “Forever.” The Italian music legend hasn’t put out an album in a decade, but sometimes inspiration comes from the strangest places. He dresses it up with some synths and big drums, but as his reverential tweet to announce the remix indicates, this is a tribute as much as it is a remix.
