Girl band

Girl Band‘s insistence on sounding as chunky as possible is probably what makes the Irish four-piece so appealing, but the sludgy “Lawman” feels like a step above what’s come before. Sounding like what Era Vulgaris might’ve been had Queens Of The Stone Age fully committed to that filthy sound, the thick guitar and bass combo trudges along in an undeniably crass showcase of sleaze. It’s not far-fetched to imagine this as the type of music played in the back of The Road House from Twin Peaks, with its hypnotically dizzying percussion and so-past-caring style of singing.

“Lawman” will be released on limited 7″, pre-order here.
