Last night, Arcade Fire played at Houston’s Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in yet another show for their lengthy North American tour. However, anyone in the crowd was not only blessed with a raucous performance of the band’s best material, but also an inspired cover of Blondie’s 1978 hit, “Heart of Glass.” The performance continued the trend of solid cover material that Arcade Fire has been unleashing throughout their tour.

As you’ll hear, Régine Chassagne’s voice is perfect for Deborah Harry’s original arrangement, as she  flashes the same vocal prowess we’ve heard on tracks like “Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains).” Listen to the band’s take on the disco classic now.
