This year, we’ve been introduced to a lot of new artists who impress with a sound ready for the masses. Everyone’s figuring out how to make a polished, professional hit.
But there are some things you can’t fake. 21-year-old Arkansas resident Jeh Sea Wells doesn’t have a clean, glossy hit with “Summer.” It’s the kind of song that hits you in the gut. It’s raw, human, and powerful, and all it takes is one man and an acoustic guitar.
“Those mornings after the parties are like cold water, you know,” says Wells. “You look around and it’s a sepia toned disaster.”
