If there’s one artist that has been on extensive hiatus, it’s Lauryn Hill. Fans have been clamoring for her return, but most appearances since the GRAMMY-winning debut album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill have been live shows, with little to no new material to show for the years since. Many have questioned whether Hill can be the artist we once loved.

One listen at her Nina Simone cover and all doubts should be erased.

Before the Netflix documentary What Happened, Miss Simone? hits the streaming service on July 26, a compilation featuring various artists covering Simone’s classics will be released. Nina Revisited: A Tribute to Nina Simone will include six songs from Ms. Hill, including 1965’s “Feeling Good,” which you can hear below. It will also have tributes by Mary J. Blige, Usher, Common and her daughter Lisa.
