Recently, it was announced that a solo album of unreleased material from Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain was to be released to coincide with the DVD and blu-ray release of Brett Morgen’s documentary, Montage of Heck. Among the material, which includes early demos of Nirvana songs as well as original unheard tracks, is a cover of The Beatles’ “And I Love Her.” Now we can finally hear Cobain’s interpretation of the track via Spotify below.

In talking to Rolling Stone, Brett Morgen said, “Nobody in Kurt’s life—not his management, wife, bandmates—had ever heard his Beatles thing.” Morgen said that he found the cover on a “random tape,” and that he was surprised to hear it considering that Cobain was once quotes as saying, “I like The Beatles, but I hate Paul McCartney.”
