Jack Garratt will be releasing his debut album Phase this Friday, and anticipation of it, he’s shared another new song from the project titled “Surprise Yourself” via Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show.

The single is an uplifting one, pairing Garratt’s gorgeous vocals with layers of bright, warbling production. According to the British singer, this song is actually three years old, making it one of the oldest songs off Phase.

“It’s just so strange because [the album has] gone through so many alterations and I’ve had this song, and this song has stayed the same the entire time,” says Garratt of the single. “The original demo I did in comparison to what it is now, it’s come with me on the last three, almost four years of my career so far.”

Listen to “Surprise Yourself” below, and be on the look out for Phase, due February 19 via Island/Interscope Records.
