Gucci Mane has been incredibly busy since returning home from prison in May.
Having spent much of his three year sentence writing raps, Guwop hit the ground running with a triumphant homecoming single “First Day Out The Feds” within 24 hours of his release, and he hasn’t let up since. Finding himself in the position as one of the most in-demand rappers on the planet this summer, the notoriously prolific artist has contributed guest verses on songs with everyone from Kanye West to Kodak Black—but now it’s time for an album of his own.
Turning to a healthier lifestyle, Everybody Looking finds the Brick Squad kingpin in a new space. “I was a drug addict, I was naïve to the fact that I was numb,” he told The New York Times, explaining the difference between pre-prison Gucci and the man we see now. “I’m my own therapist. People seeing now the effect of how I started thinking from maybe early 2014.”
Featuring contributions from Kanye West, Young Thug, Mike WiLL Made-It, Zaytoven, and Drumma Boy, the 14 song project was recorded in just six days. Despite his efforts to leak it prematurely, the official release day is finally here and you can stream it on Apple Music and Spotify now. Listen below.
