Describing the setting where Marlin's Dreaming create their music, frontman Semisi says, "Our jam room looks over a sweet ass beach." Considering the sun-drenched guitars, laid back vocals, and overall dreamy sounds that run through their debut album, Lizard Tears, that makes a lot of sense. Their music sounds like a relaxing day at the beach, which is fitting for a group of New Zealanders who met at a local surf shop. Mixing together bits of indie, psychedelic, pop, and surf rock, this is the kind of bright, warm music you'll want to keep in rotation as we head into winter.
