Here’s the first single from Stockholm’s Shout Out Loud‘s upcoming album Work. The Swedes have been working with Seattle producer Phil Ek, who leads the group back to basics on here. A good song doesn’t need a bunch of shiny ornaments hanging off its limbs to be appealing. Then again, there’s a lot of trees in the forest, and not all of them end up in people’s living rooms.

Sidenote – Come on guys, is that really the best cover you could come up with? Looks like an awkward family photo via 1999. Shout out to Stereogum.
