“Like Smoke” will be featured on the late Amy Winehouse‘s posthumously released third album Lioness: Hidden Treasures which comes out December 5th, and will be “a collection of previously unreleased tracks, alternate versions of existing classics as well as a couple of brand new Amy compositions”. The album is being put together by Amy’s friends and producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, and this track looks to be one of the most interesting as it’s not only previously unheard but gives us a new Nas feature.

“Like Smoke” maintains that classic retro soulful sound that was Amy’s trademark, with the smoky, lovelorn chorus really taking a backseat to the two rapped verses. What is maybe most interesting about this song is that it was recorded back in 2008 but in an amazing stroke of crystal-ball gazing, references not only the recession, but more specifically protesting at Wall Street.
