The last time Justin Timberlake performed live for a Super Bowl-related event, things “malfunctioned.” That mishap in 2004 feels like ages ago, and now that the singer/actor/everything is back to making music, he seems far more focused on his prim and proper “suit and tie shit” than on stirring up any foolish controversy. As the years have passed, JT has matured, and in turn so has his music. Something we’re learning more about with each small taste of his latest project.

On Saturday evening Timberlake took the stage during a private DirecTV-hosted party to perform a bevy of songs including three new tracks from his forthcoming studio album The 20/20 Experience, due out March 19th. Accompanied by a full band and four backup singers, collectively known as The Tennessee Kids, this was the first full-length concert Justin had performed in three years. Video of two previously unheard records, “Little Pusher Love Girl” and “Bad Girl,” are shared below, as well as a performance of “Suit & Tie” alongside Jay-Z, posted above.

Timberlake’s next scheduled live appearance will be on February 10th at the Grammy’s, followed his first non-private performance at the Hollywood Palladium that same evening.
