Paul McCartney recruited some local legends when he played Seattle’s Safeco Field Friday night. Dave Grohl, Pat Smear and Krist Novoselic — also known as the surviving members of a little Seattle outfit from the 90’s called Nirvana — joined Sir Paul onstage for seven songs. The set more than made up for the fact that McCartney stumbled over Novoselic’s last name (it’s a tricky one, to be fair).

The supergroup ripped through some classic Beatles tracks including “Get Back,” “The End” and an especially vicious “Helter Skelter.” Check out the fan vids below:
