The Arctic Monkeys returned home to England last night to play Later…with Jools Holland. “R U Mine” and “Snap Out of It” were the songs selected, both off the Monkeys’ latest album, AM. It’s another link in their late-night chain, and big ups to Alex Turner and the boys for holding fast to their party line throughout the appearances: suits and Turner’s slicked hair have become synonymous with this chapter of the band’s history, and they’ve held character as AM has expanded its reach. Now it’s time to leave the set.

The talk show quota filled, the Arctic Monkeys will take Wednesday and Thursday to rest and ponder before embarking on a sold-out European tour this Friday in Manchester. They’ll loop back to American Southwest in November and December, where tickets are still available.
