On June 21, XL Recordings group Jungle took over The Wick in Brooklyn for Tumblr’s IRL series. The event featured a gallery of work by Oliver Hadlee Pearch, the co-director of the band’s acclaimed music videos, as well as performances by the group.

Part of what has been so interesting about Jungle is their strong sense of aesthetics. Instead of putting their own faces at the forefront of the movement, they created a world from captivating visuals and a sound that is as consistent as it is unique. For the IRL event, their style was applied to a physical space, bringing Jungle’s vision to life in a way that fans could never experience through a computer screen. Watch a recap from the night above, and stay tuned to see videos of the performances.

Jungle’s self-titled debut album is out today. Buy the album here, and read our interview with them here.
