A$AP Rocky worked on his latest album At.Long.Last.A$AP with super-producer Danger Mouse (executive producer and producer on four tracks), and it would appear that they’re keen to work together once again. In an interview with Pharrell on his OTHERTone Beats 1 radio show, A$AP Rocky confirmed that he has been working on a concept record with Danger Mouse. When asked if they were going to do a concept album, Rocky replied, “We kind of already did.”

According to Rocky, there’s no lyrics written yet, but it is being made. “What’s important about this, he told me, ‘yo dude, you bring out a side in me that I need’. And I feel he brings out a side in me. We got records, I can’t wait to let you hear them.” Rocky referred to the material they’ve made together so far as “far out.” Pharrell seems interested in appearing on the project, and when he asked if he could appear on the as of yet untitled album, Rocky responded saying, “I got you.”

It sounds like it’s going to be quite an interesting departure for Rocky, who has been experimenting more and more ever since he dropped his major label debut Long.Live.A$AP back in 2013. His most recent album, A.L.L.A. saw Rocky branching out with psychedelic tracks like “L$D,” and he it would seem he’s interested in exploring more music outside of his comfort zone in the near future.
