Annie Clark, bka St. Vincent, recently went back to her home state of Texas for a documentary for Nowness. The short documentary was directed by Alan Del Rio Ortiz, and features Clark exploring, playing acoustic guitar, and rock climbing. She provides a nostalgic voiceover above the clip, in which she reflects upon Texas in general. During the documentary she pays a visit to a local baseball game to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner,” to a very small, and very lucky crowd.
The documentary also features footage of her performing live with her band, as well as a bizarre moment in which she oversees a weird dance routine. The documentary ends with her stating that she’ll “never quit doing this.” Thank god for that. Watch above.
