As with Yeezus before it, Kanye West’s latest album is receiving changes right up until the very last moment. Unlike Yeezus, however, Kanye hasn’t seemed all too confident with the numerous names he’s given to the upcoming album. Appearing on Big Boy’s radio show this morning, Kanye has said that the album previously known as So Help Me God, Swish, and Waves, still hasn’t gotten its final title yet. When asked about if the title of the album would indeed be Waves, Kanye responded by saying, “We don’t have a name yet.”
This isn’t surprising news to say the least, but considering the album is due out next week on February 11, it’s still a bit weird. Kim Kardashian recently shared a poll on Twitter in which she asked which of the three titles people liked the most, with So Help Me God winning with 46% of the votes. Big Boy didn’t dwell on the title situation for too long, however, opting to ask the question that’s on everyone’s minds: Is Drake’s pool bigger than his? “I have three pools,” he responded.
During the interview, Kanye also took a moment to apologise for his comments regarding Wiz Khalifa’s child, and also spoke more about the album in general. He called the currently untitled album, “a gospel album with a whole lot of cursing on it.” Kanye will be premiering the album at a Madison Square Garden event next week on February 11, so hopefully he’s figured out what he’s going to call the highly-anticipated album by then.
