Rapper Skate Maloley was playing a show at Webster Hall in New York City last night, and when the crowd got too rowdy, Maloley felt that security abused their power and didn’t handle the situation properly. Maloley confronted security after allegedly seeing them use a taser on a fan, only to be attacked and kicked by them, according to Maloley. It was at that point that the venue cleared out and the show came to an early end.

Today, Maloley shared a photo on Instagram presumably from the concert (above), and it was accompanied by a caption showing that he is remaining positive:

Don’t ever let anyone stop you from accomplishing your dreams. Last night was a prime example of the devil at work. Violence is never the key I spread nothing but positivity and peace and when I see someone pushing my fans I react immediately. God has a plan for each one of us, my team and I woke up safe with minor injuries but blessed as ever. With God on our side we never lose. The journey continues. And to my fans and family thank you for all the love and support. My team is so strong, my brothers are so close. This only makes us stronger as we continue down the path to greatness.

Due to last night’s events, Maloley announced that a Boston concert scheduled for tonight has been postponed to “the near future.” Maloley also promised to return to New York City for a “special show.”
