Sampha has been remarkably quiet for the past year or so, with his last solo track releasing all the way back in 2013. He resurfaced in a big way earlier this year when he appeared first on SBTRKT’s surprise release Save Yourself in March and then on a Kanye West track titled “Saint Pablo” in April. Now Sampha has updated his fans with a small note that he’s shared on both Facebook and Twitter, after not using either for nearly a year.

“Hello, It’s been a while,” the note begins. “I’ve had a lot to process these past couple of years, as we all do. And it’s hard to articulate sometimes. I wanted to say thank you to all the people who’ve shown me so much love and support.” The note ends with Sampha saying, “I’m looking forward to sharing my music with you again.” It looks as if his silence is due to come to end soon, thankfully.

Prior to March of this year, Sampha’s last appearance on a song came in late 2014 on SBTRKT’s album Wonder Where We Land. He appeared on four songs.

Check out Sampha’s full note below, and fingers crossed for some new solo music this year!
