Bruce Springsteen sat down with Apple's Eddy Cue yesterday (September 28) for a live Q&A session, and he spoke about a number of topics during their chat. The now 67-year-old musician, who really doesn't look his age, promoted his new memoir, Born to Run. As with all Q&A sessions, though, Springsteen also took the time to answer other questions, including who his favorite contemporary artists are at the moment.
"I like Kendrick Lamar a lot," he told Cue and the audience. "He's intense. He's a great rapper, very intense." He added that he's not only a fan of Kendrick, but of Kanye West, too. "I like Kanye West, I think Kanye West makes great records. I love his records. Those are just very, very creative, amazing records." This isn't the first time Springsteen has had nice things to say about Kanye, previously saying, "West is incredible, you know? He's very talented."
He also gave a less exciting answer, saying that he's a fan of Green Day, too. "They make great records and they're always thoughtful and intense and they have a band that plays great together." He added that U2 "are still doing just fine," which is an interesting way to put things.
