Jaden Smith continues to act like a total original this year, beyond explaining how he used to be a vampire. He also started an environmentally-friendly water bottle company called JUST, starred in Netflix's The Get Down, and continued releasing music. No wonder TIME Magazine included them in their "The 30 Most Influential Teens of 2016" list.

"Smith might be the offspring of two established Hollywood celebrities, but he’s building a brand—and a following—by rebelling against mainstream culture," wrote TIME.

Smith has also been expressing that rebellion through fashion. He donned a skirt for a popular Louis Vuitton ad, and started a clothing line/arts collective called MSFTSrep, with the stated purpose of subverting gender norms. “[MSFTS is for] the girl that wants to be a tomboy or the boy that wants to wear a skirt, and people try to condemn,” he told Variety. “We’re here for you. Tell us your stories.”
