Six years ago today, Kanye West released one of the best albums in his catalog, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and surrounding its creation was one of the most intensive months of recording. Featured artists on the album were flown to Hawaii to work with Kanye, and one of those artists was G.O.O.D. Music President, Pusha T.
Despite the fact that Kanye has been dealing with some personal issues very publicly as of late, Pusha took today as an opportunity to thank Kanye instead, for encouraging him to embark on his solo career in a heartfelt message posted to Instagram.
"You were setting me up to be the solo artist I never saw myself as," Pusha wrote in the post. "So, on the sixth anniversary of MBDTF and as the President of your label G.O.O.D. Music, I wanna say thanks for the endless opportunities you have brought to me."
It was reported yesterday evening that Kanye had been hospitalized for "his own health and safety." This followed a week of concerning behavior and ending his Sacramento concert after three songs. The rest of Kanye's Saint Pablo Tour has been cancelled due to recent events.
